General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
GDPR sets out strict controls for orginizations on how we collect, store and use data within the EU and/or the personal data of EU citizens. There are several key principals that these regulations set out. These are that your data is:
- collected explicitly and for specified and legitimate purposes
- adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for processing
- processed in an appropriate manner to maintain security
- kept up to date and is accurate
- kept only for as long as necessary
- Kept safe and secure
We will always need to collect some form of your personal data however we will keep this to a minimum. This data will be relevant to the contact between ‘You’ and ‘Us’, for example an email address to send a newsletter or your postal address to send you an order.
When placing an order it will usually involve some of print as this is the basis of the majority of our items. We understand that these are both sensitive and extremely valuable as they maybe irreplaceable through growth of a child or loss of that family member. We will keep these prints on record until you explicitly ask us not too. At this point the prints will be returned to you at the cost of £2.50 to cover P&P.
You have the right to check what information we hold about you. Please either email us or use the contact form outlining your request and how you would like the information provided e.g. electronically via email or via the post. An admin charge of £5 is applicable for in depth requests and an additional £2.50 of P&P if you would like it posted.
At your request we will amend or delete any or all information we hold about you, except
- where we are legal obliged to keep it
- it is needed for tax or regulation purposes
- it is needed for the prevention, detection or investigation of a crime
Once data has been deleted we will not be able to recover it.
You will need to explicitly need to sign up for your Newsletter if you would like to receive it, in the past you were automatically added if you placed an order as set out in the invoice T&C’s, however from the 25th May 2018 this will no longer happen. You can either sign up on our home page, or by sending us an email or using the Contact Us page.
Our newsletter contains hints, tips, company information and announcements. It will usually be sent once per month however if important information needs to be communicated before the next scheduled slot and additional newsletter maybe send. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at anytime, free of charge, by either using the unsubscribe link included on all newsletters, replying to the newsletter with the message of ‘Unsubscribe’, email us or use the Contact Us page to request it. If you email or use the contact form please ensure you include the email address you used to subscribe.
